PRESIDENTIAL WELCOME

Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the local, Arab and international organizing committees and the board members of the Jordanian Association of Thoracic and cardiovascular surgeons (JATCVS), it is our pleasure and privilege to welcome you to the first panarab conference on thoracic , cardiac and vascular surgery, which will be held from September 29 to October 1, 2009 at the LE Royal Hotel , Amman Jordan.
The JATCVS 's ambition is to unify the Arab thoracic ,cardiac and vascular surgeons and to make them prepared for a changing and challenging future.
The conference will take place at the Le Royal Hotel, located in the heart of the Jordanian Capital, Amman . The facilities available are spacious, light and functional. The city of Amman combined with the the Rose city of Petra and the famous Dead sea offer wide variety of possibilities for those interested in history, art , music and of the cultural activities and offer excellent shopping and dining possibilities.

The program is deigned to provide the latest scientific knowledge in the field of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery as witnessed by the large volume of invited speakers and participants. It is put together wit a social program which we hope you will find interesting and worthwhile.

It is a great pleasure that Her Royal Highness Princess Basma Bint Talal has accepted the patronage of the conference and great honor especially for our association.
